Twenty-three-year-old Paresh Purushwani was going on a scooter with a friend at around 11.30 am when he was attacked by a mob of around 200 with sharp instruments. He was brought to the SSG hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The fate of his friend was not known till Friday afternoon. <br /><br />The violence had erupted on Thursday night after a <a href="http://www.thetimesofindia.online/articleshow/40409494.cms" target="_blank">Tazia procession</a> was stoned. The police fired some rounds and lobbed tear gas shells to quell the violence. One person was stabbed to death while another succumbed to a bullet injury in the communal violence that erupted in the Panigate area. <br /><br />Thirteen others were injured in the violence, including a constable of the State Reserve Police Force and three other police officials of the Panigate police station. The violence erupted when members of one community started pelting stones on a Tazia procession passing through the area.<br /><br />The police lobbed at least 15 tear gas shells and fire some rounds to quell the mob, said official sources. Twenty-year-old, Mohammed Faim Burhanuddin Qazi was hit by a police bullet and later succumbed to his injuries at the Sir Sayajirao Gaekwad General (SSG) Hospital. Qazi was hit in the chest, said hospital sources.<br /><br /><formid=367815><br /><br /></formid=367815></div> </div><div class="section2"><div class="Normal"><br />Later on another person was stabbed near Panigate police station when two people were passing by the Dangra Mills area. Nagin Parmar and Chotalal Borsi were attacked by a mob of around 50 persons with sharp-edged weapons. Thirty-five-year-old Borsi died on the spot. A FIR related to the incident has been lodged at the Panigate police station. <br /><br />The Joint Commissioner of Police K Kumaraswamy said, "We have rounded up at least 25 people from both communities, but as of now the priority is to see that the funeral processions pass of peacefully. The arrests would be made later."<br /><br />By Friday afternoon however there were no signs of any tension in the Panigate area with most of the shops open and traffic flowing normally.<br /><br /><formid=367815><br /></formid=367815></div> </div>
